Hello everyone, I’m back on Reddit again hopefully to solve all my life problems. We just purchased a property with a giant oak tree in the backyard. There’s another tree growing next to it, which I believe is a beech tree. One of the trees branches has penetrated the oak tree and grown into it. Another has appeared to damage It. Also there appears to be some type of rotting, but I’m not too sure. Please help us decide what’s best for this oak tree because we don’t wanna take it down if it’s just a matter of removing a few branches. We’ve had several tree companies come by most of them who claimed to be certified arborist and for they have all said we probably need to take the oak tree down, but one has said we could trim the branches and it should be fine.
