Before the Insurgents took over the Island of Renograd from Russian Control, Renograd was about to gain independence from Russia after the Island and a few smaller islands weren't seen as necessary by the Russian Federation. But the Patriots of Democracy, the exteremist terror organization took over the Islands from vulnerable National Guardsmen & Law Enforcement officers on the island. When the UNIDB & NATO arrived to assist the Russian Army, UNIDB, NATO & Russia decided to help the small Ronogradian Government to create their own Military Organization to assist the Allied Forces. The R.P.D.F. (Ronogradian Provisional Defense Forces) was formed and the three groups gave funding and equipment to the Provisional Army. Mostly Russia and the United States.
