▲ 10 r/actuary

I’m on my last FSA exam and is debating between GH 301 and CFE 101 (aka ERM exam). From what I’ve heard, ERM seems harder than GH 301 with all the case study. People advise to go for the exam material that I find interesting but I honestly find both exam interesting (GH 301 is more digestible though).

For those who have CERA or is considering going for one, do you think it’s worth it to put in the extra work to get it?

I’m currently working in the health industry but considering entering in a different industry and non-actuarial job in the future like investment and banking industry. Does CERA give you more job opportunities in the future? What kind of jobs can you get with CERA?

A little bit about me: I have a master in data science and about 2 years of actuarial experience in health industry (first job out of college). I took GH 101 and 201 for my first two FSA exams.

Thank you in advance for the feedback!
