I'm desperate. As of this last fall, I had to start leaving my dog home alone while I'm at work (he has a doggy door and I walk him on my lunch). Because he's home all day, he frequently gets into the flower garden and doesn't dig thankfully, but he does kick around and destroys plants. There are too many plants to protect with wire cages so I am now thinking about a invisible fence/collar like Sport Dog's Pawz Away. Can I just set that up or do I somehow need to do some training with my dog about it? I'm open to coaching on how to train/support him respecting the invisible fence and thank you for any wisdom/input on the matter.
