This post was removed by the mods. It’s possible the admins are the mods of this page as well, you never know.

You will inevitably find yourself in a position post cat where you’re not sure of what’s next so you start looking around for gdpi courses and search through Reddit.

So I’m making this post to review Btribe, you can make an informed decision whether to spend this amount.

Currently what’s happening is they capitalise on the FOMO of students and get all the students in > students who were anyway going to do well > publish their results > take credit for your effort

I will list some pointers below, feel free to ask any other queries as well.

  1. Admins - There are 2 anonymous admins, admin 1 and 2. Nobody knows who they are, not even the mentors. They are pretty dedicated, especially admin 2. You can keep asking them queries and they will help you out. There are about 100 mentors as well.
  2. Fees - They charge a minimum of 10k yo upwards of 30k I suppose, now the question is whether the 10k is worth it. If you are someone who is bad at interviews, maybe. If you are someone who is even decent at interviews, no. I’ll explain why.

The main offering of Btribe is to connect with current b school students. You can book a 30 min slot with them. (10k for 10 slots so 1k per slot, Topmate is probably more reasonable logically).

They will take mock PIs, extempores, GDs and so on.

The quality of mock PIs is generally good, could differ mentor to mentor. But do you need mock PIs is upto you.

I am enrolled in Btribe myself, have hardly taken any mocks (my own decision, not their fault) but still converted all calls. So did Btribe play a part? No. But did they offer to help? Yes. My point is - unless you are bad at interviews or communication, you don’t stand to gain much from this program.

Again that may not be their intention, but there’s not much someone can help you with communication, only you can help yourself through practise. What they can do is tell you your blind spots.

  1. Form filling support - They do support you in review of filling forms initially - SOP review etc, sometimes admin will do it, if urgent, you need to book a slot with a mentor. They CAN help you craft your story better.
  2. Live classes - They did take sessions for Eco, basic Math etc. These were taken by mentors. Again this was good but nothing you can’t find on YouTube.
  3. Material - They mainly give GK compendiums, some 4-5 versions. It is very overwhelming and not required. I’m reasonably sure it’s AI generated as well. Instead post CAT, start reading the newspaper. Economic Times, Hindu analysis by UPSC channels (Again YouTube is 100x better for GK prep)
  4. Refund - They do have a convert guarantee, but they ask you to fill multiple templates with over a 100 questions and get it reviewed by a mentor and approved by a admin etc. Point being it’s almost impossible to cover all of this, hence you are unlikely to get a refund. You may say you want to cover their HR questions etc for your own prep, but to this level, it’s simply not required. You are wasting time and effort that won’t pay off.
  5. Results - The results are genuine based on what students fill on their portal. These are not verified by them, they assume students are filling it honestly. But there is no fabrication intended here.
  6. Batch size - This year, 2026, there was a batch of around 1,000 students. I wouldn’t say there’s a “community” as such, the same 10-15 students generally keep spamming the group.

After a point, when multiple colleges release forms together, admins find it hard to give time, but they try their best.

Overall - Btribe was not a bad experience. For me, it was not worth it. For you, it depends. Unless you are very bad at interviews, it’s not worth it, at least not at this price.

They continue to capitalise on FOMO and get business though, which I don’t appreciate.

They are now introducing various other programs - placement bootcampus etc. Again, this is capitalising on the FOMO of incoming MBA students. Seniors from ABC have clearly mentioned - you do not need any external support. That’s exactly what college is for. Once you go to college you will realise, you never needed it.
