Toyota supra 2020 21B056 and 21B055 codes
My buyer is a little worried about the codes from the PPI. One of his friends with a Supra told him it might be the radiator shutters and that replacement could cost around $500 each, so now he’s asking for a $1k discount.
The mechanic who inspected it said he didn’t find any actual mechanical issues tho, just the codes themselves. He did say that if the shutters ever needed replacement, it would probably be around $500 each, but he wasn’t saying they were confirmed bad right now.
I’m also running a VRSF catless downpipe, and I know these cars can throw codes from that setup pretty commonly.
Do you guys think it’s possible the mechanic just isn’t familiar with the normal codes/mod behavior on Supras with catless downpipes? Or does this actually sound like a real radiator shutter issue?
