Hi,

I was selected on this year's H1B lottery.

I am a foreign lawyer working for a big law firm. No shady things on my application; also, my firm has successfully sponsored people in the same situation in the past.

I just logged onto USCIS portal, and the following message popped up:

Request for Additional Evidence Was Sent

On xxx, we sent a request for additional evidence for your Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, Receipt Number xxx. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence. If you do not receive your request for additional evidence by May 22, 2026, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Should I be scared? has any of you went through something similar?
