Modding has absolutely revolutionized ksp, with one of my favorite mods being Free IVA- but it seems to have an Achilles heel.
Has anyone managed to get free Iva to work with the cargo bay like the real shuttle as seen in the photo?
I know free Iva works via nodes, so I tried attaching the cargo bay to a docking port hub, then offsetting the cargo bag to be flush with the shuttle cabin, but it will not work for love nor money, with the bay offsetting in weird ways.
The only ways I can think to fix this is convincing free Iva to “skip” the cargo bay node- which is beyond my technical knowhow, or, making the offset tool stop tweaking- which I am yet again, unsuccessful.
I have yet to find anyone posting about this, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to get it to work!
