So I saw a Maine Coon in real life for the first time today, and that thing isn't even a cat. I’ve admired them in photos for years, but hardly anyone owns one where I live.

I knew they were huge, but seeing one in person hit me with a very specific, almost spiritual kind of shock. It’s like meeting a mythical forest guardian who also demands snacks.
