Interventional Radiology career insight
Hey all, currently a final year medical student thinking about pursuing IR. I have a few questions for IRs:
Do you enjoy the complexity and stimulation from IR procedures or is it quite repetitive in nature?
Similar to Q1, but for those who also enjoyed surgery (such as urology, vascular..) do you still feel the same level of satisfaction and enjoyment with IR procedures as you found with surgery or do you regret not going for a speciality with more open style procedures?
If you were a final year medical student/intern again, would you still pursue IR with the current landscape of AI and future of radiology?
What is a common salary range for those in IR working metro/regional working public and private mix?
Appreciate the responses and look forward to hearing them!
