What would happen in this hypothetical scenario between two fighters?
Background:
Fighter A: won 60 fights has a record 60-0 and is super arrogant. Makes incredibly racist and demeaning remarks to all opponents but always wins and has a huge fan base.
Fighter B: a new fighter but has little experience with a record of 2-0.
Many analysts predict fighter A will dominate and all the top analysts essentially just laugh at fighter B.
During the press conference it gets ugly and some incredibly horrible things come out of the mouths of both fighters. Desecrating each others family, religion, race, etc. Fighter B keeps it more civil though and only talks smack about fighter A.
Fighter B is actually pissed off inside and goes on twitter two hours before the fight and makes this post:
“Today Fighter B’s career will be over. The following three things I am going to say will happen in 2 hours:
Round 1: I will show you that my skill is better. I will not hurt him, but he will not be able to inflict any damage on me. I will show you that even without attacking him I’m so skilled that he can’t even touch me.
Round 2: I will let him hit me and attack me. I will defend minimally only as needed but won’t hurt him. The purpose of this round is to show that he is incredibly weak and he cannot inflict any pain on me even if I let him.
Round 3: Between the 3rd and 4th minute of this round, I will use a maneuver that is fully legal and sanctioned by the ufc (no rules are against it) to sever his c6 vertebrae in his spine without damaging other parts. I guarantee you nothing else will be damaged. This will render his legs paralyzed permanently but he will still live. I will win the fight at exactly within a 15 second window between 4 minutes and 10 seconds and 4 minutes and 25 seconds into the third round.
He posts this and everyone basically calls him embarrassing for doing this and says he’s full of shit.
2 hours later: at the fight everything he says happens exactly the way it happens. Fighter A is paralyzed at the end.
What happens now?
Is he protected by law? He broke no rules in the ufc fight, he literally warned everyone. Everyone had a chance to stop the fight when they saw everything in round 1 and 2 happen exactly the way he said but did nothing.
How would the public react?
