Got a DD order today from Chipotle for $14.10. It was like 7 miles all in — so I accepted it. Had just picked up the order from the restaurant and was in route to the drop off when I checked the order notes at a red light. I didn’t take a screenshot — but the customer notes said something along the lines of “take extra care — I’m a DoorDash evaluator. To give a little backstory on me, I really hate the DD prompts to “make this delivery count” — as if implying some customers are more important than others. To me — I grade every order based on compensation and ROI (dollar’s earned vs miles driven and time spent) I try to give EVERY customer reasonably good service — as evidenced by my 4.7 rating. Unless they’re a jagoff 😂

I kinda thought this was just another regular customer — being a jagoff — so I replied back — “LOL 😂 — couldn’t care less”

I stand by that. I don’t care. DD SUCKS — so telling me you are some sort of DD ambassador does not carry any extra weight or favor with me. 😂

But less than 5 minutes later as I’m now within 2-3 miles of the drop — I get a notification from DD that the customer has cancelled the order — and that I would receive the full $14.10. I don’t recall ever having DD pay the guarantee amount in FULL for a cancellation.
Now I’m wondering 💭 if I’m about to get deactivated for telling a secret shopper that I don’t care who they are. 😂

Well — F it. I mostly do GH anyways. I meant what I said and said what I meant. Just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience???
