What fundamentals should I focus on more to break into masters. I finally hit diamond 1 but ive been stuck here for a month. What fundamentals should I really focus on to break into masters?

Hi all,
I mainly play riven top but whenever I get autofilled mid lane I usually try to play riven but always have trouble against mages. I was wondering if akali is super good into mages because of all her dashes and has alot of health regen. I heard fizz is good but i don’t wanna be a fizz player. Is she worth picking up for whenever I’m against mages or is there just better options?
