Why wasn’t Prince given official title. Examples (godfather of… king of a particular genre, greatest _ of all time etc…”

Prince is known worldwide as one of greatest music artist to ever live (so are a bunch of other artist but clearly we know prince is above most if not all so he shouldn’t be considered just considered another all time great artist) so he gets his credit to some degree, but for some reason him getting a de facto king, godfather, greatest _ etc… title has never stuck and I can’t understand why. The man has sold 100-150 million records, the man has multiple classic albums with one of them being one of the highest selling albums of all time. He is considered a musical genius by EVERYONE that’s ever been a music artist, he is has influenced so many artist that came after him and was really a driving force on the music industry and pop culture as a whole. He also wrote for numerous of artist giving them huge hits that he could’ve kept for himself. He wrote, composed, produced, and played all the instruments on almost every song/album he put out. The man could play at least 27 albums (writing this out this dude is really incredible) and he’s an instantly recognizable person. So again why do y’all think he wasn’t given an official title. Examples Elvis- King of rock and roll Madonna - queen of pop Bob Marley -king of reggae Aretha Franklin- queen of soul James brown - godfather of soul Whitney Houston - the voice Even R Kelly gets labeled the “king of r&b” consistently Michael Jackson gets labeled the “king of pop” and “greatest entertainer of all time” yet his direct and arguably only true rival doesn’t have a title like that? I just don’t get it. Why do y’all think this is the case?
