Dog lover adopted 7 week old kitten

Hi, everyone!
I’m almost 6 months pregnant and my husband has been BEGGING for some kind of animal. We live on the 2nd floor and we also have a 4 year old. I did NOT want a dog as I work long days and the last thing I want to do is walk a dog at 10pm pregnant and with my toddler when my husband is on shift at the fire station. My best friend posted about her neighbor having a litter of kittens ready to find homes and I figured that would be the perfect early Father’s Day surprise! Self sufficient, cute and a pet for the kiddos to grow up with and not too much work on my pregnant body.

Well, it’s night 1 with kitty and I am immediately regretting decision. xD

He is SO cute, but wow it’s 1030 and he’s busy. I need all of the tips and tricks of caring for this guy, mainly so I don’t end up giving him away while my husband is gone LOL. I know he’s a baby, but I definitely under anticipated curiosity and rambunctiousness? I never even had a puppy so this baby animal business is all new.

Should I have taken 2 kittens to help? I am open to going back and getting one of his siblings!

Thanks in advance!
I really want this to work out. Our son already loves him of course, so I don’t want my impatient pregnant self to ruin this for my boys! ;)
