Chipmunks help!

Hello from Kenosha, WI. I have chipmunks digging holes in my backyard- I wouldn't mind but my daughter (5 year old on the spectrum) is reaching in them, there is one that is relatively large abd is a tripping hazard.

I tried putting coffee grounds around the entrances (there are 6 holes currently) but there's still activity there.

What is a humane way to get them to relocate? Do chipmunks have a set period of time where they reproduce/raise young so that I don't inadvertently cause young to be abandoned?

If it wasn't a safety concern I'd leave them be!

Snap.

My dad was discharged from cardiac ICU on Wednesday (hypotension, CHF, atropine x2, 2L fluids, dopamine drip after syncopal episode at home).

Today he woke up with s/sx of RLE cellulitis. I told my mom with just being discharged to bring him to ER for evaluation. While getting ready to leave she rolled her ankle and heart a 'crack'.

They get to my hospital (I work OBGYN outpt). I run down, wheeled dad into ER, then wheeled mom to the opposite side of the hospital for urgent care.

Spent the next 2 hours getting my steps in checking in on both of them. Thankfully both are back home now icing their respective extremities. At this point I feel like wrapping them both in bubble wrap!

Mom sees ortho next week.

Monday my bradford pear tree is being cut down and a Allegheny Serviceberry is being planted.

The Bradford Pear was purchased by my parents when I bought my home back in 2008, before I knew how invasive they are. I've saved up over the last year to have it replaced.

I'm going to use sections of the trunk as a stepping path for my daughter to play on in the backyard (maybe then I won't feel so guilty for cutting down their generous gift?)

My big question- I now have bird tenants in the hanging birdhouse- how do I go about moving the birdhouse?

The new tree will be too small to support it. I have another tree in my sideyard but that's over 100 ft away. I have shepherd hooks but none are about the same height.

There's also a squirrels nest. I can't tell if it's in use- anyone know how to move that as well? I hate heights (and the idea of being mamed by a squirrel? But I'm willing to risk it in the name of my property cohabitants!)

Unfortunately rescheduling isn't an option.
