The plot and worldbuilding of AOT has big elements of philosophy and certain judgments of politics & human nature in it. Elements of nihilism, pessimism, depiction of human nature as fatalistically violent, a cyclical view of conflict throughout history, etc.
I've read some critique arguing that AOT is mistaken about these things and has a fascistic worldview. Is this true? What would the experts on these fields make of AOT's perspective, can it hold up to scrutiny?
