Would 8mm maxillary advancement look too much aesthetically?
Hey everyone,
I have a Class III case and I’m currently considering double jaw surgery. My surgeon mentioned the possibility of advancing the upper jaw by around 8mm.
I wanted to ask people here, especially those who had similar movements:
Did large maxillary advancement improve your facial aesthetics?
Did it help with airway/breathing?
Can the lower jaw also be advanced or rotated together with the upper jaw movement for better balance?
I’m mainly worried about looking unnatural or too projected after surgery. If anyone had around 7–9mm advancement, I’d really appreciate hearing your experience or seeing before/after thoughts.
