Has anyone experience bursts of stabbing stomach pain along where your shunt catheter is and have been consistently nauseous but you were told everything was fine but you found out later things weren’t okay?

Since my shunt changed its setting randomly the first time, I’ve been curious if my shunts valve is faulty. I was throwing up yesterday, had an excruciating headache, and had like upper shoulder/chest pain. The last time I went to the ER I was told I was fine by my neurosurgeon regardless that my shunt setting had adjusted again.

I’m terrified. It’s been exactly one year since I had emergency decompression surgery of my lower spine due to a failed blood patch after I had received a lumbar puncture that caused a leak.

I’ve been having terrible, debilitating headaches, ear and neck pain along with ringing in my ears and almost like I’m under water. Symptoms and pain where I’m sobbing, and the only thing on my mind is wanting to off myself.. I’m insanely depressed despite being on antidepressants. I’m having panic attacks and am fearing the worst. I don’t know what to do and it seems like no one wants to help.

It feels like someone is squeezing my skull and crushing it, even my ears, back of neck and under my ears hurt. My right ear has stabbing pains going through it ( shunt side) I’m sitting on the couch, in the dark, sobbing. My cheeks are flushed. My neck is hot and I’m freezing but have no fever.

I hate this life.
