Hi guys! I’ve been trying to find this short story for YEARS! My freshman year (2012) my English teacher read us a short story about a boy who became ill. He wasn’t eating, talking and specifically scared to sleep. I remember the mom being concerned and asking for help. I’m not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure in the story in was 2 men trying to help figure out what was wrong with the boy. At the end of the story, they came to find out the mom was making scary shadow figures in the boys bedroom at night scaring him to death and making him so anxious he could not sleep. Please help i even tried to chat GPT it and it redirected me to here 🤣
