Great video, but the problem is that it doesn’t provide any real solutions it only points out what is wrong, which most of us already know. The current education system is based on an equal, merit-based structure, which seems fair given that the country’s infrastructure is still developing. While many of his points are valid, not all of them are entirely practical, especially in the Indian context. India has a massive population, uneven access to resources, and limited high-quality seats, so a standardized system becomes necessary to maintain fairness at scale.
According to him, teachers shouldn’t push students to study and shouldnt use emotional or sympathy-based motivation when students score low and vice versa to except high but in reality, teachers are expected to push all students equally, and that reflects the harsh ground situation where many students lack direction or support at home.
It’s true that marks shouldn’t be the topmost priority, and the Indian education system often focuses on producing workers, but then what is the alternative? How can we create a system that is truly fair for such a large and diverse population? Competition, although stressful, also plays an important role in motivating students and creating a scalable selection process. Similarly, while curiosity-driven learning sounds ideal, expecting every student to follow it without structure, discipline, or external push is unrealistic in a system this large and diverse.
He is absolutely right to criticize, in my opinion, but criticism without practical, scalable solutions feels incomplete.
HE IS TOTALLY RIGHT TO CRITICIZE IN MY OPINION BUTT
