One-Shot for the unserious
Hello friends! I am going to be running a one-shot for a group of friends very soon, and it's going to be my first time writing a one-shot solo.
I've been DMing for good amount of time, but most of my time has been in-depth storylines and intricate political stuff, at least that was the attempt. But that group was very receptive to roleplay, theatre kid goofiness and were a giant group of fantasy fans.
This next group is NOT that lmao. One of them is trying to run a Smiling Friends reference, another is a drunken master who gets buzzed off of raw milk and Tylenol. I'm excited to see if I can have moments of roleplay, tension, "oh shit" sort of moments, but I also want to keep the one-shot in tone with their humor
I'm wondering everybody else's experiences with switching up their tone or have similar stories that are interesting. I'm not exactly looking for an "answer", but if anybody has words of advice I'd love to hear em!
