Recommendation letters- information
Hi, I’m preparing an EB-1A petition and I’m collecting expert recommendation letters. I’m wondering whether these letters should explicitly mention that they are written in support of my EB-1A petition, or whether it is better for them to be written more generally as professional/expert recommendation letters. For context, the letters would focus on my achievements, leadership roles, original contributions, publications, judging/evaluator work, and recognition in my field.
Would USCIS expect the letters to mention EB-1A specifically, or is a neutral “To Whom It May Concern” expert letter acceptable? I understand this is not legal advice but I’m just trying to understand common practice before discussing it with an attorney.
Thank you for any insights.
