Disclaimer: I do not believe its the mojority of fans. Hell, i don't even think it's a large part of the fandom. But its significant enough to make me feel the need to say something.
Ive only been interacting with Smosh fandom spaces for maybe a year or two and ive noticed something unfortunate (but not surprising). There seems to be an insatiable thirst, in parts of the fandom, for juicy interpersonal drama. I don't know if it stems from past dramas with retired cast memebers or what, but every day i see people in comments claim to understand how these internet comedians REALLY feel about each other. Im always seeing people claim certain memebrs are outright not treated as equals *cough* Trevor *cough*. Ive seen people claim obvious jokes as too innapropriate beacuse it passes THEIR personal threashold of whats okay for friends to joke about(example: amanda pretending shes going to kiss chanse on the nose when he got really close to her face. I'm not joking, people said that was sexual harassment). I even see people try to claim Amanda doesnt like her costars beacuse of her catty persona and admitting to being a bit stuck up as a teen... i feel stupid just typing that.
Overall i think people who watch smosh should remeber: YOU DO NOT KNOW THESE PEOPLE AND SOME OF YOU ARE ACTUALLY JSUT PROJECTING.
