I’m a first-year International Business student aiming to pursue a Master’s in Finance/Banking in Europe ( Erasmus programs or top business schools).
I want to seriously build my profile over the next 3 years, especially with international exposure. However, most clubs at my university don’t seem very impactful or relevant, so I’m looking for better alternatives.
I’d really appreciate advice on:
What international activities/programs should I join (exchange, competitions, summer schools, etc.)?
Are there any global competitions or organizations worth targeting (finance, business, case competitions…)?
What actually makes a profile stand out for top Finance/Banking Master’s (beyond GPA)?
What types of internships or experiences are most valuable? And how can I find internships or experiences with international exposure?
I’m willing to invest serious time and effort, so I’m looking for high-impact options rather than just "joining clubs for the sake of it".
