Italy: ‘We’ll give you a house and money to move here.’ Me after one bad Monday at work: opens Duolingo immediately 🤌”
I just saw an article about a small Italian village trying to attract residents by offering cash incentives, houses, and jobs to newcomers because the population is shrinking.
At first it sounds like a dream, but then I started wondering:
- Would people actually leave everything behind for a quieter life?
- Could you realistically adapt to a tiny mountain village culture?
- Is loneliness underrated when people fantasize about moving abroad?
Or is this genuinely a better life than struggling in a major city?
Curious what people would honestly choose.
