Raised white bumps on senior cats hip
Hi everyone! My cat is a 13 year old neutered male. He has been over grooming and very itchy with scabs on his right hip/side only. We took him in last September for this issue and we were told he had fleas. We treated him and his brother with revolution Plus and have been treating monthly ever since. We did the flea bomb in the whole house and washed EVERYTHING in the house. We followed everything our vets told us to do
However, his scabs have not gotten better. We have tried steroids and antibiotics but he keeps biting at the area and is very sensitive. We recently took him to the vet to get a medicated bath and lion cut so we could monitor his skin more closely.
The vet said it may be allergies - but it is this one specific spot that now seems to have raised white dots.
We have taken him to the vet for this 4 times and get the answer of: allergies, autoimmune, or old age, but never a real solution of what to do!
He is extremely picky with food and we understand it may be a food allergy.
But what are these white bumps that showed up? They almost resemble white heads on the problem area. The white bumps are new. There were small little numbs that weren’t as raised and were the color of his skin - now they turned white and are bigger and itchier.
TLDR - Raised white bumps appear on cat after months of treatment and vet visits.
