I recently got accepted into SRA, but I also have an internship lined up at a lab at my local university. For context, I did Cosmos last year and I am looking to do more this summer for college admissions. I know that SRA is pay-to-play, and the intership is free, however I am a little concerned that I won't do much since the things they do at the lab are pretty high-level. Meanwhile, SRA would allow me to actually conduct my own hands-on project, which could be more beneficial. Which one is better from an admissions standpoint and in general? I could get try to get a LOR from the professor if I accept the internship, but idk how much work I would meaningfully do.
