Increasing conversion to paid?

Hi, fellow Stackers! ❤️

I started Substack 2 months ago, and now I have almost 1K subscribers. I write about Self-growth, self-image, self-care, and wellness with a personal touch.

sharing my own journey as a 28yo woman making a career switch into psychology. I started studying Psychology last year and apply a lot of what I learn in school to my articles.

I post:

  • 1 free article per week > usually a personal life experience and the consequence + what I learned/am still learning
  • 1 paid article per week with a free preview > follow-up of the free article, but deeper and with actionable tools such as journaling prompts and psychological terms to help understand yourself better. Will post the second paid article this Thursday.
  • 1 free (sometimes audio) journal entry per week reflecting on my self-image, goals, and health.
  • I use Notes A LOT!

My price is €5/month for the first 25 paid subs. After that, I will increase the price.

I mainly started this for fun and not necessarily for the money, but it would be nice to make some money off of it since I only have time to work part-time next to college and kinda live paycheck to paycheck :').

I have 1 paid subscriber. I was STOKED to get that notification. Someone actually values my work that much!🥹

My Substack name: Neha Grows

I'm very happy with my progress so far, but isn't the conversion rate to paid supposed to be a bit higher? Like around 2-5%? I know in the beginning you still have to build trust, but 0.1% seems really sad :').

I'd love for someone to check out my content and give me feedback so that I can improve my conversion rate.

Much love!
