As the title says, yesterday I actually realized my wife has never read the contents of quran in her language. She does not understand arabic. All she knows about the religion has been taught by famous figures in the country. I the type of person that from the start when I joined Islam refused to say things loud in another language without knowing what it actually meant and I did leave eventually after reading it through.
Giving more context, she muslim since birth and I have left since years ago but she does not know that. She just know I've stopped praying and that I disagree with islamic schoolars. I never actually said I have left and might never say since she is kinda accepting I am just different now even though she believes I might go back to pray one day.
I am asking if telling her to actually read the quran was a good idea or not. She has always been very moderate and understanding but I worry she might get more hardline than actually realizing the nonsense that is there.
