I just heard there was another round of layoffs last Friday. It’s an interesting development, especially since Director in Charge Jenny Connelly recently noted to the Austin Business Journal that attendance for 2026 was steady compared to 2025. One might also assume a smaller event scale would lead to lower production costs so in theory, profits would be higher. Ultimately, Penske Media's strategy seems focused on optimizing margins, regardless of those attendance figures. And as a private company, Penske Media does not need to disclose whether Ms. Connelly's comments are accurate.

Most importantly, I'm concerned about current staff's morale, they've had a rough go the last couple of years. I hope the ones left are doing ok.
