Hi everyone! I’m trying to track down a song I remember called“The Man Behind the Curtain.”I think it might be related to The Wizard of Oz, but I haven’t been able to find anything online that matches.

I have an audio file of the song, and here are some of the lyrics I can make out:

Pay no mind to the flashing and the smoke

Just a little old man with a worn out cloak

I tried to look mighty, I tried to look grand

But it’s buttons and levers and a shaking hand

The song seems to reference the “man behind the curtain” concept (like the Wizard), but I can’t tell if it’s from a musical, parody, obscure soundtrack, or something else entirely.

Has anyone heard this before or knows where it might come from? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
