Got PFL due to intention to reside out of Quebec, what to do?

AOR - 4th February 2026

BIL/Medicals - 15th April

PFL - May 11

Basically the officer is asking me to explain to her my intentions to reside outside of Quebec since I have been living here for the past 10 years since, studying and working. Haven’t been working for a few months and on a visitor record, I have my savings to survive off of.

Is this a bad sign for my application? For context, my sibling lives in Ontario (and I have included him in the application) and I have already added a letter saying how I will be looking for aerospace jobs in Ontario as I’m an English speaker so it’d be easier for me to find a job there, and there any many being posted.

Now, I never applied to new jobs since losing my engineering job in Montreal over a year ago because in the absence of clear indication of when I could be able to work again, I just didn’t bother.

My lawyer is working on this too but I’m just sitting on my sofa thinking what will happen since I have already been refused once in 2024 due to NOC mismatch.

Please note that it is my REAL intention to move out of Quebec after PR because I don’t want any issues with citizenship.

So what else can I do to show them my real intention? Hop over to Ottawa and get a lease? I am on a monthly rental contract in Montreal right now
