is it normal for u.s. firms to cut pqe moving from a uk magic circle firm? i’ve been offered a 2 year cut for having insufficient relevant experience, despite having spent the last 3 years in the equivalent department in an MC firm, but in a different subgroup. would this still be a good move? moving as there doesn’t seem to be enough work in the pipeline for my current team.
