So, yeah as above, I've had some insanely heavy bleeding lately so went to the GP. Got sent to ultrasound who found my endometrial lining was thicker than the allowed measurement for a perimenopausal woman on HRT.
Had an awful phone call where my GP (very kindly) explained that because of this red flag I've been referred to the NHS fast track 2WW pathway. Am very nervous about outcomes right now, but a colleague pointed out that we have private health insurance and I should send my referral to the private clinic to see them that way.
I worry I've messed up the whole process by doing this but my husband says it was the right thing to do as we pay for the private health and it means someone who also has health concerns also goes up the NHS list because I've gone elsewhere.
I just wanted to vent my concerns here really, but, did I do the right thing here or should I have left myself in the NHS pipeline?
