How often are we crying?

Inspired by the "my bf keeps getting boners when I cry" post. Honestly it kinda took me aback when she said that she had been crying a lot the past week because of PMS and "general life stuff". Sometimes I forget that people cry that much, which makes me wonder how often the average person cries, and how well I fit into that average.

Anyway, let's all share how often we cry, along with other fun facts about ourselves that we think are relevant.

I am a 24 year old woman. The last time I cried was on June 8, 2025. I had just moved back home to live with my parents and was feeling awful about it. My mother burst in on me while I was naked and then commented on my figure. I remember the specific date as my birthday was the next day, and I had to go into work all bleary eyed and numb.

It feels a little strange that it's been almost a year since I've had a good cry. A lot has changed since then, I've had a big move that I definitely got emotional over, but it didn't lead me to tears. I did almost cry a few weeks ago while doing a scene in my acting class, but I don't really count that because I was acting. The most ridiculous reason I've ever cried was after a third date, I started crying because my date wasn't my ex. The most cinematic cry I've had was a single tear rolling down my cheek as I landed in the Dublin airport after a solo trip to Paris.

Despite my lack of crying, I would not consider myself emotionally stable. I just get angry or feel numb instead of wailing. When I get depressed, like really depressed, I'll think of a million ways to off myself before I shed a single tear. I also don't masturbate, and I have thrown up from stress and heartbreak before. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
