Forced to pause due to liver enzymes/fatty liver
We have had two transfers, one ended in a chemical, one was a total failure. We have waited since December to get answers and tests and finally got some answers. I have chronic endometritis and a clotting issue. Had a whole new protocol in place, just found out we were approved for another transfer and then just got a call shortly after saying never-mind put everything on hold.
I have PCOS and have had fluctuating liver enzymes for around 7-8 ish years, and my RE has known this and it wasn’t an issue at the time. I just found out through my PCP recently that I have mild fatty liver, but my enzymes returned back to normal. However, my clinic called me and said they want me to pause this process of proceeding with a transfer to now lose weight and see an OB for close monitoring due to my liver (my weight is the same since starting IVF). I’m on metformin but was told to try a glp-1 (which is not covered by my insurance) and that I have to be off from it 3 months before another transfer. I know it’s for my own good, but this is the first they have cared about this so i’m a little confused.
I was also supposed to start doxy for my CE and now I just have to have this issue go untreated?
I’m just so bummed because it looks like now we probably won’t have a transfer this year and we’ve been waiting so long for answers. Plus now I need to try to find an OB that will listen to me and help me and eventually HOPEFULLY get the okay to transfer? Ugh I just don’t know :(
