We are hoping to build a very simple floating deck in redwood.
I’m choosing redwood over pressure treated because I can get it pretty close to cost.

Nearly all guides and online calculators say That 5/4 is the standard for decking but I cannot find out why no one seems to have it in stock or even on their product list?
All the guides and diyers seem to have used this but I am not finding it locally at all.
What am I missing? Is 5/4 just no longer available in my area, no longer used but every guide is saying to still use it?
Or just not available in redwood? (Even so I can’t find PT in 5/4 in stock either)
I just find it odd that this is supposedly the standard but I’m not finding it anywhere.
