I (19) recently had an internal ultrasound which showed no signs of endo, it confirmed that one of my ovaries is polycystic but we knew that from a previous ultrasound.

I know that it doesn't rule out endo I'm just not sure what the next steps are, I was originally going to ask for a referral to a gynecologist but then I thought it might be better to get a referral to one of the endo clinics that recently opened in Australia, the issue is that they're a hour to a few hours away so it'd be a lot of travel but it'd be more specialised help and covered by medicare (at least partially).

The only option my doctor gave me was to go on birth control and then she told me that I can decide at our next appointment. She was more concerned by how itchy I was all over and gave me steroids to treat that since it's most likely my old eczema fairing up lol. I live away from my mum so she isn't very involved in my medical issues but she does suggest taking the birth control.

I just don't want to treat symptoms without knowing what's causing them for sure, especially if treating the symptom allows it to silently get worse.

But I'm also tired and it's hard even getting an appointment that lines up with my schedule now. I feel like I need a poster or flowchart telling me what to do lol. I don't really get how to navigate the whole medical side of the world.

TLDR: Do I push for a diagnosis or manage symptoms

Hi this is the lateness policy for the class that I submitted my assignment to:

Complete work submitted 1 to 7 days late will incur a penalty of 5% per day on your final mark for that assessment.

Partial or incomplete work submitted 1 to 7 days late will incur a penalty of 5% per day on your final mark for that assessment.

Work submitted after day 7 will be awarded an NN grade and 0% mark for that assessment.
Weekends and holiday periods are included in the calculation of the late penalty.

Where a due date includes a specific time for submission of work for assessment; submissions after that specific time (on the due date) will incur a 5% penalty.

The assignment was due at 11:59pm yesterday and I submitted today at 11pm, I read the lateness policy at the start of the year and interpreted that it would only be a 5% penalty for the assignment, which I was willing to take for this assignment since it’s only worth 5% of my grade however after submitting it says that the assignment won't be counted towards the final grade.

I’m mostly wondering if I interpreted the policy wrong so I can avoid making the same mistake in the future.

Sorry if formatting is bad I'm writing on my phone :(.
