Lately, a huge number of threads come across less like genuine questions and more like opportunities to dunk on conservatives. The format is almost always the same: someone asks a loaded “question,” and the replies turn into a contest over who can make the most popular insult.

Example:

Post: “MAGA voters, how can you support something so awful?”
Top comment: “Because they’re awful too.”

And then everyone applauds each other for agreeing.

I’m honestly confused about the purpose of these threads. If the goal is actual discussion, it doesn’t seem very effective considering there are barely any MAGA people here to respond in the first place. And on the rare occasion someone right-leaning does answer, they usually get buried in downvotes or attacked instead of debated.

So is the real goal conversation, or is it mostly just people posting politically safe opinions for validation and karma?

If Obama was able to run for a 3rd term, would you vote for him?

If Trump is truly unbeatable only because of misinformation, why hasn’t the left figured out how to communicate better?
