I am launching a small pilot program called NextStop for high school students interested in public transit and real world problem solving.

It is a 6 week experience where students explore issues in their local transit systems and develop ideas that could actually improve them. The focus is on building something thoughtful and practical, not just discussing ideas.

Students also come out with a concrete project they can speak about in college applications or future internships, but the emphasis is on doing meaningful work.

We are starting with a small cohort this June.
