I’ve honestly thought about this for a long time and I’m surprised Spotify still doesn’t have something like this.

I have a lot of huge playlists with hundreds of songs in them, and even though I like everything in those playlists, there are always some songs that I love way more than the others. The problem is that once you hit shuffle, every song just has the same random chance, so those favorite songs can disappear forever unless you manually search for them.

And that kind of ruins the point of shuffle sometimes.

I still want it to feel random, I just wish there was some small option where you could tell Spotify to make certain songs appear a little more often than the rest. Not enough to make it repetitive, just enough so your absolute favorites don’t get buried under 500 other tracks.

Because right now the only options are either let full random decide everything, or keep manually replaying the songs you actually wanted to hear, and both feel inconvenient.

Spotify already has so many personalization features, AI playlists, DJ, smart recommendations and all that, so it feels weird that users still have zero control over shuffle itself.

I feel like a simple “play this more often in shuffle” button would make playlists so much better, especially for people who keep all their music in one place instead of making ten separate playlists.

I'm just asking those who like my idea to vote on the official spotify website for the proposals. Am I the only one who wants this?
