I would like to ask for help of any native Mandinka/French speakers, possibly even someone who is capable of using N'Ko effectively. I would like to translate the famous quote by Emil Cioran to Mandinka:
"On n'habite pas un pays, on habite une langue. Une patrie, c'est cela et rien d'autre."
I personally speak neither French nor Mandinka, I only know the english translation so I provided the french original in case something would get lost in translation. Also, if possible, I would like to retain the philosophical meaning, not just a literal translation but then again, I speak neither of the languages so I appreciate any help I get.
Also, if there are any people who can read and write N'Ko, would you be able to do a transcription of the translated quote?
