Daycare integration disrupting home naps?!
My sleep-trained 12 month old just started daycare yesterday. They are having us go in for 1-1.5 hours every morning for now as part of a gradual integration. She’s been getting so upset while at daycare that when I tried to put her down for her first nap yesterday she had a meltdown. I ended up assisting to sleep. I expected that because of how dysregulated she’d been.
I’m confused about what’s happened for nap 2 both yesterday and today though. She would roll around happily in her crib like usual but seemed unable to fall asleep. After 40 minutes today (50 yesterday) she started crying and it escalated to the point I had to intervene and assist to sleep.
Is this still carry over from the morning daycare upset? Can one hour cause so much disruption? I hate assisting to sleep because I stress (way too much) about creating sleep associations. Thankfully bedtime was fine last night and she sttn with a brief cry out at 1 am.
We’re on 3.5/4/3.75 with 10.5 hour nights and naps capped at 2.25.
