Today on a flight from Indianapolis to Phoenix there were several empty seats.....at least half of the plane. I was the middle seat of 3 with my wife on one side and another passenger on the other side. We were in the first row of the cheap seats. He asked a flight attendant if he could move up to give us and himself more room. The FA said if he wanted one of the other seats he should have upgraded an hour and a half before the flight. Request denied.

The seats stayed empty.

Why not be accommodating?
