My husband has been hit hard with alopecia. How do I support him?

My husband bas been hit pretty hard with alopecia in the last year. It first started with him losing his beard hair, then his nose hair and just a couple days ago we shaved his head because the hair loss on his head was so rapid. Lost it all in just 2 months. He has been pretty down and emotional about it. I know it's just hair loss but it definitely was a part of him. We don't know what kind of alopecia it's is yet. Yes he has been to the dermatologist and started getting the shots in his head and at night I apply what I think is a steroid oil on his scalp. I'm trying to be supportive to him but it's hard. I don't know what else to do other than to always tell him I love him and that I don't care he is bald. I always try and touch and kiss his head. He is a very stressed person. Lots of family drama and work stress. Trying to help that calm down but easier said than done. Any advice would be great....
