I'm a little confused about how artillery barrages work in War in Spain. In the manual it says 'If at least one unit carries out an attack other than Barrage, units doing a Barrage are only giving fire support'. Does this mean that if you have infantry and artillery stacked on the same hex attacking an enemy and the artillery is set to barrage, its still firing or its not. Also if barrages are only in the same hex, then how do you barrage except long range without getting destroyed by enemy infantry. I might be fundamentally misunderstanding this, and I think I am but just wanted to ask the question.
