Hi guys,
Unfortunately the rust on my Sportwagon has gotten to the point where it no longer makes sense to keep putting money into the car. It still runs and drives well, but I figure I should start shopping around for a replacement under $20k. I've done a good amount of research on replacements, but I figured I would get the input of other people. I mainly use the car for pleasure these days, but I also use it for hauling stuff and most importantly for ski trips which is where I felt the Acura didn't excel. Below I've listed what I'm looking for in the replacement.

  • Being A Wagon - Nonnegotiable the TSX was my first car and I can't see myself driving anything besides a wagon
  • Higher Ground Clearance - A lot of cool places around me have very bad roads which my TSX would bottom out on
  • AWD - Much nicer in the snow than the FWD the TSX had
  • Fun driving dynamics - I loved the TSX on some twisty back roads
  • Android Auto
  • Decent interior quality
  • Decently quick (The 8.3s 0-60 on the sportwagon was pretty painful at times)
  • The same if not more cargo space inside

With that out out the way here are some ideas for the replacement which I've been looking at.

VW Alltrack: So far this seems like the best choice, although they have less power than the sportwagon they are still quicker with the AWD. The interior also seems to be pretty decent especially on the SEL trims. Reliability seems to be decent on them as well besides the sunroof which I am used to dealing with already on my TSX. I have also heard that they handle pretty nicely.

Buick TourX: I love the look of them and they also have that rarity factor my TSX does. They seem to be decently reliable and pretty quick. I am worried about the GM interior quality and lack of parts now that GM doesn't own Opel. Also the car is lower than the TSX with no real way to increase ground clearance so I don't think it would be a great idea.

Subaru Outback 3.6R: Another top contender. They seem to have nice interiors and are pretty quick with lots of ground clearance and a big interior. I am worried about how the CVT will feel, but I don't think it could be worse than the 5 speed in the TSX. I also think that this would be the worse handling of the options and I don't really love how they look.

Volvo V90 CC: Gorgeous car with a really nice interior. I am worried about the lack of buttons inside with so many controls being in the infotainment. I am also worried about maintenance costs and reliability. This one seems to tick most of the boxes although finding a decent one within my price range seems hard.

Those are the 4 cars I'm between currently as the other wagons are either too small or too low. Let me know your guy's thoughts.
