I'm approaching the precipice. The Sea breeze and drops of water push against me, warning me to keep away. The crushing of an immovable object against and violent force echoes from below.
but as the sea crashes on the beach, something beckons me luring me closer and closer. The waves crash and fill the air with its chorus, life goes on.
It calls. I must answer. A call back to the deep, what comes from the sea must return. I step out, eyes closed to prepare for the reawakening
Brine and saltwater fill my lungs like an addict taking in their vice. The firm hand of hypothermia guides me to the deep, and yet my sight remains.
Coasting on the edge of sight are the myriad hanging lights of lantern bearers sent to take me to the next life.
An attempt at peace is made, the angels have come to take me. I smile, and the angels smile back.
Cheshire grins filled with needle teeth. The lanterns have evolved to draw in prey.
As I glide along the deep I feel the grit of sand beneath my stomach. I slither deeper into the abyss following the last light of the lanterns as it slowly disappears, light can no longer travel with me upon my journey into the ink below.
Fully submerged I morph and mutate. My body takes its final shape. this new body is a new me, my true form isn't hideous or charming my body defines comprehension i define what is all wrong and true. do you see? take my hand and i can show you the true identity of this realm of undying parallel.
I go to blink, my eyes do not open, nothing left to see.
The midnight has taken over, no sky to illuminate the depths. I must go deeper, you should as well, join me among the cradles of life. The black smoke that emerges from the seabed, the taste of things old boils out.
