MIDI + internal audio at the same time. Any chance?

I don’t know if the developer has commented on this, but do you think it’s possible that in a future update, each track could play the sound exactly as it’s programmed in the M8 whilst also sending MIDI?

That would be amazing!

Hey, I received the OXI E16 MIDI controller this weekend and I think it’s the perfect companion for the M8. It’s true that I could achieve similar results with other controllers like the Octatrack, but this one has far more options, is easier to set up, and is very compact and informative.

After fiddling around with it all day, I’ve got it pretty well set up, but I’ve run into two problems:

-I have to assign all the M8’s CCs in every song. The simple option is to do it once and save the default template for new songs, but I haven’t managed to find a way to copy the parameters to previous songs, nor do I think one exists. A copy/paste function would be brilliant, but it would also have some obvious drawbacks. OK, I can live with that.

-The biggest problem I’ve encountered is a classic issue with MIDI controllers: the values displayed on the controller don’t match those on the device. To explain this with an example, let’s say a song ends and you load the next one into the M8. Many values don’t match up; for example, the previous song ended with the snare delay at 100%, but the new one starts with no delay. When you load the new song onto the M8, you do indeed hear the snare without delay, but the visual display on the E16 shows the delay at 100%, and what’s worse, as soon as you touch it, that becomes the value, even if you quickly turn it down afterwards. I’ve tried connecting a cable from the M8’s MIDI out to the E16’s MIDI in to see if I can achieve two-way communication, but it doesn’t work. On a controller with non-motorised faders, this would be impossible, but logic tells me it should be expected on a controller of this type. I’m not happy with the preset system, although it could be an option: I don’t want to change presets for every track, and I’ve also found that it doesn’t work as smoothly as it should.

Can you think of anything?

In any case, well done to my Galician neighbours!!!
